No experience? No problem. Our beginner course takes you from zero to confident fencer in 4 weeks. All equipment is provided — just bring yourself and a water bottle.

Programs by Age
Every fencer starts as a beginner. We'll find the right program for you.
Kids Fencing
Fun, safe fencing for children. We focus on building confidence, fitness, and friendships through the Olympic sport of fencing. Kids learn in a supportive environment with age-appropriate drills and games.
What's Included:
All equipment (jacket, mask, glove, weapon), structured coaching, and a safe training environment.
Weapon:
Foil — the lightest and most beginner-friendly weapon, recommended for primary school age.
Teen Fencing
Develop real fencing skills, compete at a higher level, and build discipline and strategic thinking. Teens train alongside adults and learn more advanced techniques.
What's Included:
Advanced coaching, competition preparation, and access to inter-club bouts.
Weapon:
Épée — the weapon of patience and precision, used by teen and adult fencers.
Teen Program
Ages 13-17 • Skill Development
Adult Fencing
New to fencing? Start your journey. Stay fit. Have fun. It's never too late to try something new. Adults of all fitness levels are welcome — fencing improves balance, coordination, and mental focus.
What's Included:
Full coaching, all equipment, and a welcoming community of adult fencers.
Weapon:
Épée — the most common weapon for adult beginners. Full body target, no right-of-way rules.

Competitive
Squad
For experienced fencers looking to compete at state and national level. Our competitive squad trains with qualified coaches and represents NQFA at QFA-sanctioned events.
Requirements:
Completion of beginner course, consistent training, and coach recommendation.
Competition Pathway:
QFA Circuit → State Championships → Australian Fencing Circuit

School
Programs
We provide specialist coaches for school extra-curricular teams, PE classes, and fencing for fitness. We also offer Professional Development for Teachers.
Note: Schools are required to purchase fencing uniforms for participants.
